Kaela reading about herself

01 — Tell us a bit about yourself

You fill out one intake form. Your work, your clients, the rooms you actually stand in, how you want to come across.

Here's the thing worth knowing up front: the form is where your gallery gets made.

Every scene we build comes from what you tell us.

Say "office" and you get an office — some office, any office. Say "second-floor conference room with the whiteboard I never erase and the window behind the head of the table," and you get your office. Say "I meet clients at their kitchen table" and we build that instead. The difference between a gallery that could belong to anyone in your industry and one that could only belong to you is almost entirely decided in this form.

What to be specific about

Where you actually work.

Not the aspirational version — the real one. Truck cab, shop floor, home office, client's job site, hotel lobby between meetings. Unless, of course, you are looking for a future vision of yourself.

What's in your hands during a normal day?

Tablet, clipboard, coffee, tools, a laptop that's always open to the same spreadsheet. Props are what make a photo read as work instead of a pose.

Who you're in the room with.

Crew, clients, a team of four, a board. If you want images with other people in them, tell us who they are and what that interaction looks like.

Wardrobe you'd genuinely wear.

Down to the specifics — brand, fit, sleeve length, whether you're a blazer person or a quarter-zip person. If you'd never wear it to a real meeting, we shouldn't put you in it.

How you want to come across.

Approachable, exacting, the calm one in a crisis, the person who tells you the truth about your numbers. This shapes expression and posture more than anything else on the form.

What you're using these for.

Website header, LinkedIn, speaking one-sheet, proposal covers, ads. Different uses need different crops and different energy.

Skip nothing, but don't overthink it.

Bullet fragments beat polished paragraphs. Voice-to-text is fine. If a question doesn't apply, say so and move on.

And if you're stuck: describe a real Tuesday. Where you were, what you wore, who you talked to, what was in your hand. That answer alone builds half a gallery.

Ten to fifteen minutes if you're brief, closer to thirty if you go deep. Go deep — it's the only part of this process where more effort from you directly buys you better images.

Kaela's Selfies

02 — Upload your selfies

No studio, no lighting kit, no getting camera-ready. Just photos of your face, taken the way you already take them. We'll tell you exactly what we need — clear, recent, well-lit, a handful of angles — and there's a full checklist below so you're not guessing.

If something doesn't work, we'll tell you before we build. We'd rather ask for two more photos than deliver a gallery that doesn't look like you.

Photo Requirements (the long version)

What we need: 12–20 photos of you.

The five things that matter most:

Recent. Within the last year, and matching how you look right now. New haircut or color? Only send after photos.

Your face, unobstructed. No sunglasses, no hats pulling shadow across your eyes, no hair covering half your face.

Good light. Near a window, outside in shade, or anywhere even and bright. Overhead fluorescents and dim restaurants are the two biggest offenders.

No filters. Not Facetune, not a beauty mode, not a Snapchat overlay. Filters get baked in, and the results look like the filter, not like you.

Variety. Same face, different angles and expressions.

The mix we're after

5–8 close-ups — shoulders up, face filling most of the frame

4–6 mid-shots — waist up

2–4 full body, if you want images where you're standing or moving

Angles: straight-on, three-quarter turn to the left, three-quarter to the right, and one or two with your chin slightly down

Expressions: a real smile, a soft closed-mouth one, a neutral, and one mid-laugh if you have it

Skip these

Group photos where you've been cropped out (almost always too soft)

Motion blur, low light, heavy shadow across the face

Extreme angles — chin way up, phone way overhead

Screenshots of photos

Anything more than a year old

A few technical notes

JPEG or PNG. If you're on iPhone, change your camera setting to "Most Compatible" or convert HEIC files before sending.

Send originals, not screenshots or re-saves — resolution drops every time.

Keep files under about 15MB each.

If you have tattoos: tell us in the intake, and include at least one photo showing them. We'll either feature them or cover them, but we need to know which.

Kaela Gallery Preview

03 — Your Gallery is Ready

A few business days later, your images land in a private gallery — organized by how you'll actually use them. Headshots. You at work. Speaking and authority shots. Client-facing warmth. Your environment. Details. Vertical crops for stories, horizontal for your site header.

Download everything, full resolution, yours to use.

One round of revisions is built in — flag anything that misses, and we'll rebuild it.
